Samaje Perine will not be rejoining the Cincinnati Bengals. Instead, he’ll play for arguably their biggest rival.
According to Jordan Schultz, Perine is joining the Kansas City Chiefs’ 53-man roster. Perine was let go by the Denver Broncos during Tuesday’s cutdown day. Because he’s a vested veteran, Perine did not have to go on waivers, so he’s choosing to sign with the Chiefs.
It’s unclear if the Bengals ever made an offer to him once he was let go by Denver, but you have to think there was at least some level of interest.
