ESPN’s Field Yates reported that free-agent linebacker Rey Maualuga visited the Cincinnati Bengals on Wednesday afternoon.
Maualuga was the Bengals’ second-round pick in 2009. In eight seasons with Cincinnati, he had 353 tackles (10th in franchise history), four sacks, six forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and seven interceptions.
Maualuga landed with the Dolphins last August on a one-year deal. The USC product played in just six games with Miami, collecting 23 tackles.
The veteran linebacker was arrested on a battery charge in South Beach in mid-November.
