For the entire offseason, the Cincinnati Bengals have been at the forefront of the wide receiver market as franchised tagged receiver Tee Higgins awaits a new contract.
After a trade request in March, the Bengals made it clear that they would not be moving Higgins and intended to pay him the $21,816,000 for the 2024 season.
Higgins and his camp maintained they would like a long-term deal, and it appears the two sides are far apart on a deal. Higgins did not attend any voluntary team activities or mandatory minicamp last week, but because he wasn’t technically under contract, he was not subject to fines.
