Report: New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton smashed fire alarm in locker room at Paul Brown Stadium

Saints head coach Sean Payton reportedly smashed a fire alarm in the visiting team locker room at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday.

The alleged incident happened prior to the Saints' 51-14 victory against the Bengals when the fire alarm had gone off everywhere inside the stadium for about 15 minutes.

This came as New Orleans was trying to get prepared for the game and the report which first surfaced on Nola.com indicated Payton took matters into his own hands.

The Bengals offered a statement on their knowledge of the situation.

"We are aware of the situation and have been in touch with the authorities, we have nothing further at this time," the Bengals said in their statement.
