Five rounds passed by without the Cincinnati Bengals selecting a tackle, center or guard. In Round 6 they drafted an O-lineman who can play two positions.
The Bengals selected Kansas offensive lineman Hakeem Adeniji at pick No. 180 in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Adeniji was a four-year starter at tackle for the Jayhawks. Despite being more comfortable on the outside, the Bengals plan to evaluate him at guard and tackle at the next level. He played in the interior at the Senior Bowl.
“He's extremely athletic. He's physical. He's kind of a pure offensive lineman in that regard.
