According to ESPN, old friend Andre Smith agreed to a deal late Tuesday afternoon that gives the right side of the Bengals offensive line flexibility in the wake of guard Kevin Zeitler's departure to Cleveland.
Smith, who started 73 games at right tackle for them over seven seasons before taking a one-year deal in Minnesota last year, could do any number of things for them at either right tackle or right guard. Before Smith agreed to terms, Jake Fisher had been pencilled in to play right tackle. The Smith signing could give them some insurance with Cedric Ogbuehi at left tackle, where Fisher has also taken some snaps.
