Former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict recently was reinstated from his suspension and is working out and working in various ways to clean up his play for the 2020 NFL season and beyond, according to a report via Twitter on Monday from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
The 29-year-old Burfict, who played for the Bengals from 2012 to 2018, is a free agent after playing four games for the Oakland Raiders during the 2019 season. After Burfict's helmet-to-helmet hit on the Indianapolis Colts' Jack Doyle, Burfict was suspended without pay for the remainder of the season for "repeated violations of unnecessary roughness rules.
