Former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga drove through yards and into mailboxes and a parked car before his Wednesday arrest in Villa Hills, according to police.
Maualuga faces charges of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and criminal mischief, officials said.
Maualuga, a second-round draft pick of the Bengals in 2009, spent the first eight seasons of his NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals and made 108 starts in his 119 games with the team. Maualuga's playing career ended with the Miami Dolphins in 2017.
Maualuga was arrested in Villa Hills in July 2020 and charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.
