Hue Jackson has assumed an ambiguous role, a made-up job with a title that defines how ambiguous and made-up it is. He’s being called the “special assistant to the head coach.’’ I’ve never heard of that.
“Whatever this organization needs me to do,’’ Jackson explained Wednesday, sort of. “Whatever Marvin (Lewis, the Bengals new defensive coordinator) thinks I need to do to help him be the best version of himself, whether it’s offensively, defensively or special teams.
