The Cincinnati Bengals drafted a wide receiver fourth overall during the 2000 NFL Draft. It was Peter Warrick, and though he was great in college, unfortunately, he faced significant disappointment on a team that viewed success at .500.
In our continuing quest to document Cincinnati's best draft picks and busts, we're not categorically calling Peter Warrick a bust, much like the David Pollack selection. Yet there is disappointment. Then again, as bust definitions go, obviously subjective to the reader, one could easily make that argument. During his tenure at Florida State, Warrick was on a Seminoles squad that appeared in the National Championship game in back-to-back seasons, and was awarded the MVP during the 2000 Sugar Bowl.
