The NFL was set to fine Cincinnati Bengals receiver Andrei Iosivas for his touchdown celebration against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2. The celebration, which was Iosivas shooting a bow and arrow, was dubbed a “violent gesture.”
Iosivas explained his argument via SI’s Jay Morrison, saying, “I said, ‘Look, they do it for archery ... they shoot it up in the air for celebrations. There’s a lot of evidence there that it’s not violent. I wasn’t shooting it at anybody. There was no malicious intent at all behind it.”
Given the former Day 3 pick is still making under a million dollars per year, he wasn’t very fond of the $5,305 fine that was coming his way.
