Cincinnati Bengals director of personnel Duke Tobin and head coach Zac Taylor and their respective staffs will be busy making tough roster decisions over the course of the next few weeks. The new league year begins on March 16 and the free agent negotiating process starts on March 14.
Teams will be allowed to engage in conversations with free agents on the market during the two days prior to March 16. Given the Bengals positional needs and their salary cap situation, expect Cincinnati to be in the mix early. Tobin and Taylor both reiterated at the NFL scouting combine the priority is to re-sign some of the players who are up for new deals that contributed to the Bengals’ Super Bowl 56 run.
