National Weather Service issues excessive heat watch for Los Angeles ahead of Super Bowl

On Tuesday, the Bengals left Cincinnati - where it's been cold enough that last week's snow still hasn't melted - for Los Angeles, where the National Weather Service issued an excessive heat watch for the area in effect Wednesday through Friday.

Which doesn't mean it still won't be hot on Sunday for Super Bowl 56. The high temperature in Inglewood, California - home of SoFi Stadium - is expected to be in the upper 80s.

Temperatures this week - expected to hit a high of 90 degrees - are about 15 to 20 degrees above normal for this time of year.
