The award has been given annually by the Bengals since 2002. It honors outstanding high school football coaches in the region and includes a $5000 Bengals donation to La Salle’s athletic department.
Moore is now head coach and athletic director at Massillon (Ohio) High, having resigned his La Salle post this past January.
Moore led La Salle to a 14-1 record last season, including a 5-0 state playoffs mark. The Lancers defeated Nordonia 55-20 for the state title, posting the largest winning margin in a Division II championship game.
A Greater Cincinnati native (Mason High School), Moore played in college at the University of Dayton.
