Bengals beat writers discuss Marvin Lewis' press conference.
Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Paul Guenther is exploring his options on the open market, and multiple league sources have told The Enquirer he is expected to find another opportunity. That means the Bengals and head coach Marvin Lewis could be in the market for a new defensive play caller.
Lewis wouldn’t commit to a 4-3 base scheme in his Wednesday press conference by saying “We have the ability to do what we want to do," but with one of the league's best defensive tackles in Geno Atkins and a two-time Pro Bowl defensive end in Carlos Dunlap, it's likely he maintains that scheme.
