Mike Brown doesn’t usually get involved with on-the-field decisions with his team. He likes to let players and coaches do their jobs as they see fit.
But there was a big exception last year. As Brown revealed at the annual media luncheon, he tried to stop quarterback Joe Burrow from playing in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams.
“I went out there to tell [Joe Burrow] he wasn’t gonna play … He played.”
