Former Bengals head coach Forrest Gregg passed away Friday in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was 85.
The former offensive lineman played 15 seasons in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys from 1956-1971. He then went on to coach the Bengals, Browns and Packers. He finished with a career record of 75-85-1 over 11 seasons. He led Cincinnati to the Super Bowl in the 1981 season.
Not long after the news came out, Bengals owner Mike Brown released a statement on the passing of Gregg:
“It’s a sad day here.
