The Bengals added to their receiving corps when they selected LSU wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase No. 5 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft Thursday night.
A former college teammate of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Chase caught 84 passes for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns as a sophomore during the Tigers' 2019 national championship season.

A native of Harvey, Louisiana, Chase attended Archbishop Rummel High School where he caught 61 passes for 1,011 yards and 15 touchdowns en route to being named first-team 5A All-State.
