CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis seemed surprised at a question regarding his future on Monday afternoon.
Lewis, who is in his 16th season coaching the Bengals, was asked if he had been given any assurances by the front office that he would last the season in light of the Packers firing longtime coach Mike McCarthy on Sunday.
"That's your question?" Lewis said, and laughed. "No, and I wouldn't expect any or ask for any."
Lewis was also asked if he wanted to be coaching next season.
“My job is to coach the football team," he said.
