Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Malik Jackson drew a roughing-the-passer penalty for his huge hit on Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow in the second quarter of Sunday's tie between the two teams.
"The vicious hit forced Burrow to miss one play. ... It’s hard to imagine Burrow being able to withstand all the hits he’s taking through a 16-game season," The Enquirer's Tyler Dragon wrote in his post-game analysis.
Jackson, in his ninth NFL season and second with the Eagles, has been fined several times throughout his career, and his shot on Burrow likely will be reviewed.
