Marvin Lewis sat during the press conference announcing the signing of cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick and clearly had more to say than just his thrill in returning the 2012 first-round pick at cornerback.
Finally, when a question came about his feelings on this free agency period, he adjusted in his chair and perked up.
“Good, I’m glad somebody asked that,” Lewis said. He then churned out a 591-word monolog on the topic.
Last year, Lewis spent free agent frenzy on the road for campus Pro Day visits, scouting prospects.
