Even Marvin Lewis admits surprise to how the first eight picks came off the board during the wild first-round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night.
Upon going on the clock, the Bengals had options.
There was the Alabama duo of tight end O.J. Howard and defensive lineman Jonathan Allen. Ohio State safety Malik Hooker, who drew comparisons to Ed Reed was surprisingly available. As was his teammate, cornerback Marshon Lattimore.
“There were a couple guys left we felt good about on the other side of the ball,” Lewis said.
