Former Bengals quarterback Ken Anderson has been among the biggest supporters of Ken Riley, his teammate in Cincinnati from 1971 to 1983 who was enshrined posthumously Saturday as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
But Anderson pointed out Saturday via Twitter that Riley "should have been in (Canton) long ago when he could have enjoyed it."
Riley, who died in 2020 at age 72, had been the only one among the NFL's top five all-time in interceptions to not be enshrined.
In August, Riley was named as a senior committee nominee for the 2023 class.
