Ken Anderson, Ken Riley mulled by Pro Football Hall of Fame committee that chose Pearson

Former Cincinnati Bengals greats Ken Anderson and Ken Riley were among 12 candidates discussed by the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Senior Committee before it selected former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Drew Pearson as its Senior Finalist for the Hall of Fame's Class of 2021, according to a report Tuesday via Twitter from Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson.

Former Bengals Ken Anderson welcome supporters during the Legends Past and Present event benefitting the Andy and JJ Dalton Foundation and Ken Anderson Alliance at Paul Brown Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

Offensive tackle Anthony Muñoz is the only Pro Football Hall of Famer to have spent his entire NFL career with the Bengals. He has publicly lobbied for Anderson and Riley to join him in Canton.

Riley, a star defensive back for the Bengals from 1969 to 1983 whose 65 career interceptions ranked fourth in NFL history at the time of his retirement, died in June at age 72.
