Jessie Bates is having an impressive rookie season for the Cincinnati Bengals, and he's only 21. The second-round draft pick from Wake Forest is second on the Bengals (per Bengals.com) in tackles with 37 and shares the team lead in interceptions with two - one against the Miami Dolphins in Week 5 and another that set the tone in the first half of the Bengals' 34-23 win against AFC North rival Baltimore in Week 2.
While getting posterized by Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt during Sunday night's 45-10 loss at Arrowhead Stadium was not a memory Bates needed, it was an incredibly athletic move by Hunt and - like many basketball players who get dunked on and "posterized" - obviously not a result of a lack of effort by Bates.
