Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow has never had a normal NFL offseason.
In 2020, he had to start his first NFL season without an offseason program and with several COVID-19 restrictions. Then, he blew out his knee 10 games in and missed the rest of the season. He rehabbed his way back to the field, ensuring he could practice by the start of training camp, but he was limited. Progression was slow.
Burrow said he didn’t feel like his normal self again until almost halfway through the 2021 regular season. And after getting himself in “the best shape of his life,” as he said, he was looking forward to entering his third training camp clicking on all cylinders.
