The Cincinnati Bengals could be without their starting running back for a few games.
Per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Joe Mixon suffered a low-grade ankle sprain during the Bengals’ win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night. Schefter says the injury has Mixon’s status at “week-to-week.”
If Mixon is truly week-to-week, then it’s likely he’ll miss the team’s next game against the Green Bay Packers on October 10th. It could also mean they’ll place Mixon on Injured Reserve with the hope he can return after three weeks. It was speculated that Mixon’s injury could sideline him for a few weeks, but now we seem to have confirmation.
