The reports that Bengals rookie receiver Ja’Marr Chase was having drop issues because the NFL ball doesn’t have white stripes have quickly become archived by his terrific first regular season games, helping lead the Bengals to a 2-1 start.
Chase’s electric NFL introduction, combined with the lackluster play from rookie quarterbacks, has earned him NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month honors for September.
He’s hauled in a touchdown in each of his three games, including a two-touchdown performance against the Steelers at Heinz Field. He’s totaled 11 receptions for 220 yards and four touchdowns on the season.
