Ja’Marr Chase has his 2024 breakout in Bengals’ loss to Commanders

Stunned. Embarrassed. Disappointed. Those are just a few words that sum up my emotions after the Cincinnati Bengals were stunned at home by the Washington Commanders on Ring of Honor night.

The defense laid one of the biggest eggs I can remember since the Joe Burrow era began back in 2020.

On the other side of the football, the offense was nearly perfect outside of a missed 48-yarder from Evan McPherson and a few red-zone trips that ended in short field goals.

Another specific positive was Ja’Marr Chase’s performance.

Chase finished the night with six catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns, including two deep shots that resulted in two scores.
