Jake Fisher, a second-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2015 NFL Draft who became a free agent earlier this offseason, was released Monday in a post-minicamp roster move announced by the team.
The 26-year-old Fisher had switched to tight end and had several NFL teams "intrigued and wanting to work him out," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted in March.
Last November, Fisher's fourth season with the Bengals ended early when he was placed on injured reserve.
