Jake Browning got more time than most Cincinnati Bengals fans would’ve liked in 2023.
While he was highly impressive in the snaps he did get, Browning on the field means something happened to Joe Burrow, who has helped captain the Bengals to two AFC Championships and a Super Bowl appearance since joining the team in 2020.
Browning was close to getting Cincinnati to the NFL Playoffs after Burrow went down with a torn wrist ligament halfway through the season. Browning played so well that some thought he could earn a starting role elsewhere in the NFL.
