Jail nurse 'upset' about handling of Bengals' Jones case

The jail nurse who said Bengals’ player Adam “Pacman” Jones spit on her is questioning why no one from the prosecutor’s office contacted her and is "very upset" about the process, her attorney said.

The nurse has retained attorney Robert Karl, who told The Enquirer he has tried to contact officials including Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters, but hasn’t received any response.

The nurse, Tammy Hopkins, showed up for a scheduled grand jury hearing last month, but was turned away. Karl said Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters talked to her briefly.

“She was told by Prosecutor Deters not to show up, that the case is continued, and ‘we’ll call you,’ ” Karl said.
