The 2020 season was shaping up to be a breakout year for Cincinnati Bengals tight end C.J. Uzomah. Entering into his sixth season, Uzomah was stepping into a leadership role and had a firm grasp of the team’s top tight end spot. Unfortunately, there’s a harsh and gutting reality about football – injuries are a part of the game.
Bengals coach Zac Taylor confirmed on Friday that Uzomah sustained a season-ending torn Achilles during the fourth quarter of the team’s 35-30 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 2.
“Yeah, he tore his Achilles and he’ll be out for the year.
