Injury updates on Amarius Mims, McKinnley Jackson, and Jake Browning

The Cincinnati Bengals got their initial 53-man roster on Tuesday. Two of the headlines were defensive end Myles Murphy and punter Brad Robbins being placed on injured reserve (with the plan to return after four weeks).

What may be equally big news is the players who weren’t placed on injured reserve, which signals they can be back soon. Geoff Hobson from Bengals.com noted Taylor’s optimism about three players in particular. The first is third-round defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson avoiding injured reserve over Murphy.

“The timeline is a little more favorable there,” Taylor said of Jackson compared to Murphy.
