After Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase scored his first touchdown against the New Orleans Saints on October 16, he did a touchdown celebration called “The Stan Walk.”
As a part of the dance, Chase pretended that he hurt his leg, grabbing at his hamstring as he did the Griddy. What he didn’t know at the time was that he actually had the most serious injury of his football career.
On Wednesday, Chase said that on that touchdown, when a Saints defender landed on top of him, he suffered a hairline hip fracture and hyperextended his right leg.
