Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon is a proponent of easing a rookie QB into the starting role, but he doesn’t foresee the Cincinnati Bengals slowly ingratiating Joe Burrow to QB1. It’s widely recognized that Burrow is going to be the Day 1 starter in Cincinnati and Moon anticipates Burrow won’t be the only rookie quarterback to assume a starting spot in 2020.
“I never think any rookie quarterback is ready to start right away, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t gonna be put on the field right away especially for a top-10 pick. Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert are all going to be expected to play somewhere in that first year, if not Day 1,” Moon told The Enquirer.
