A mutual parting of ways with offensive line coach Jim Turner headlined the Bengals’ coaching staff turnover this week. For many fans, the team’s 6-25-1 record over the last two seasons suggested this was not enough. Head coach Zac Taylor has been retained for his third season, as have all three of his coordinators.
Earlier in the week, franchise quarterback Joe Burrow expressed his support for Taylor, and he doubled-down on that support while speaking to Colin Cowherd on Thursday. This is a huge endorsement since Burrow is just as respected inside the locker room as he is outside of it, but it still doesn’t alleviate any and all concerns.
