The Cincinnati Bengals officially open training camp Wednesday as team prepares for its third season under head coach Zac Taylor. Quarterback Joe Burrow was cleared for camp and will not start the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, which means his targeted Week 1 return is still on schedule. Left tackle Jonah Williams, running back Joe Mixon, cornerback Trae Waynes tight end CJ Uzomah and defensive tackle DJ Reader also are returning from major injuries in 2020.
While Week 1 was always the goal stated by Burrow, his status heading into camp makes it possible he could play in one of the three preseason games this year.
