The Cincinnati Bengals are bringing in a veteran wide receiver for a workout.
According to Aaron Wilson and MLFootball, free agent wideout Hakeem Butler will work out for the Bengals this week.
A fourth-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in the 2019 NFL Draft, Butler was a standout collegiate receiver for the Iowa State Cyclones. He finished his career with 110 catches for 2,149 yards (19.5 avg) and 18 touchdowns.
Butler’s success at the collegiate level failed to translate into NFL success. He’s only appeared in two regular-season games, both with the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2020 season.
