Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins and his wife Kristen are holding the "Atkins Family Week of Giving" to help ease the burden for people facing a hard time this holiday season.
According to the Bengals, from Dec. 10 to 15, the Atkins family will surprise people with things they need most.
"Which could be anything from gift cards and groceries to furniture and tuition assistance," the team said.
The Atkins week of giving, which even comes with a hashtag, highlights the families and the causes the football player is working with.
ESPN reporter Adam Schefter said the Atkins family "surprised 50-plus Cincinnati families this holiday season by paying house and medical bills, to adoption funds, tuition assistance, a shopping spree.
