Former Browns Pro Bowler DeLeone dies at age 65

Former Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl center Tom DeLeone died on Sunday at age 65, the team announced.

DeLeone, who was an Ohio native, played at Ohio State under legendary coach Woody Hayes before being drafted by the Bengals in 1972. He played two seasons for Cincinnati before going to the Browns. He played for Cleveland from 1974-84, making the Pro Bowl in 1979 and 1980.

"He was just a great teammate. If you were going to get in a fight, you wanted Tom on your side," former Browns lineman Doug Dieken said in a team statement.
