Former Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict was arrested early Saturday on a misdemeanor battery charge in Nevada, according to Clark County court records and a report from ESPN.
Clark County Detention Center records state that Burfict was being held on $1,000 bond. There’s a hearing in the case set for Monday.
Burfict, a college free agent signee of the Bengals from 2012, played 75 games with the Bengals from 2012-2018. In 2019, Burfict was cut by the Bengals shortly after Zac Taylor was hired to replace Marvin Lewis as head coach. He joined the Oakland Raiders during that offseason and was suspended after just four games for an illegal hit against Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle.
