CINCINNATI -- All of this -- the strong, best-of-his-career type of play, the regular silencing of critics and trolls, and the winning -- has Cincinnati Bengals quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese flat-out tickled.
As his star pupil, Andy Dalton, continues shutting down some of the uglier parts of his on-field past with continued stellar play this season, Zampese has been chuckling to himself. Finally, the entire football universe has started consistently seeing everything he knew was part of Dalton's repertoire when the Bengals drafted the quarterback five years ago.
Zampese isn't the kind of person who'd walk up to the highest of Cincinnati's seven hills and proudly and loudly shout "I told you so!
