Ex-Bengal Terrell Owens denied Pro Football Hall of Fame election

Former Cincinnati Bengals receiver Terrell Owens expressed his thoughts via Twitter about not being elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The 2017 Hall of Fame Class includes LaDainian Tomlinson, Kurt Warner, Terrell Davis, Kenny Easley, Jason Taylor, Morten Andersen and Jerry Jones.

Finalists needed a minimum positive vote of 80 percent to be elected.

Owens is second in NFL career receiving yards with 15,934 and third in NFL career receiving touchdowns with 153.

In his final NFL season - spent with the Bengals in 2010 - Owens had 72 catches for 983 yards with nine touchdowns in 14 games.
