The Cincinnati Bengals had inconsistency for what felt like a decade at kicker, and by drafting former Florida standout Evan McPherson in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, they flipped the script.
McPherson has been among the best kickers in the NFL since being drafted and named the team’s starting option. He was a perfect 40-for-40 on extra points last season and has made 126 of 132 in his career. McPherson was 8-for-8 on 40-49-yard attempts last season as well.
McPherson’s special run came in the 2021 postseason, where he earned his nickname Money Mac.
