PRICE HILL – When Eric Wood was a junior at Elder High School – before he went on to star at the University of Louisville and long before he grew into his 6-foot-4, 310-pound frame as a nine-year veteran and captain for the Buffalo Bills – he weighed roughly 205 pounds and played only as a backup tight end who entered the game almost exclusively in blocking situations.
"I was a tight end my junior year and primarily a backup," said Wood, a 2004 Elder grad who returned to his hometown Sunday in a 20-16 loss at Paul Brown Stadium.
