Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert turned in an historic performance during Sunday's 33-13 win over the Oakland Raiders, becoming the first Bengals tight end since 1969 (Bob Trumpy) to record 100 or more receiving yards and multiple touchdown catches in the same game, per Elias Sports Bureau (via ESPN.com).
Eifert set game-high and personal career-high marks for targets (12), catches (nine), receiving yards (104) and receiving touchdowns (two), setting up what could be a breakout season with the best game of his young career.
He was a popular candidate to make a significant jump in his sophomore campaign last year, but he then suffered a season-ending elbow injury in a Week 1 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
