Long-time Cincinnati Bengals starting quarterback Andy Dalton was benched on his 32nd birthday back in October as the team prepared to give rookie Ryan Finley a look, and many viewed the team's treatment of Dalton - a three-time Pro Bowler who has played for Cincinnati since the team drafted him in 2011 - as harsh.
Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin, however, gave every indication that the team respects and appreciates Dalton for his contributions on and off the field during his time in Cincinnati, when he told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on the RapSheet + Friends podcast that Dalton's future with the Bengals may be uncertain, but the team wants to make sure Dalton is comfortable with any decision.
