Two of the "big three" soon-to-be unrestricted free agents on the Cincinnati Bengals may have escaped, but the club did manage to keep one by re-signing starting cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick. Kirkpatrick tweeted that he signed a five-year contract.
The No. 17 pick in the 2012 draft, Kirkpatrick has come into his own since assuming a starting role in 2015.
The 27-year-old tied his career high in interceptions with three and broke up 10 passes last year and Pro Football Focus gave Kirkpatrick a 74.7 overall grade, 17th in the NFL and 13th among unrestricted free agent corners.
