New Bengals coach Zac Taylor sits with Enquirer columnist Paul Daugherty. Sam Greene, sgreene@enquirer.com
The Cincinnati Bengals are a conservative organization with patient ownership, dealing with a fan base that’s all outta patience. New coach Zac Taylor uses words such as “thorough" and “process" when describing how he has gone about assembling his coaching staff. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s a good philosophy. Except he didn’t inherit a fan base of Jobs.
The makeup of his coaching staff suggests training wheels and subservience. It asks you for time and forbearance. You feel like forbearing?
The Bengals look like a highway that’s been torn up a decade – think Interstate 75 through Dayton.
